A Virginian by birth and at heart, I grew up locally in Front Royal. After attending massage therapy school in Blacksburg, I ventured out and moved to Chicago to start my career in the Windy City. Although I loved the busyness, entertainment, attitude, and especially the amazing food of the city, there was always a void that the city fell short of fulfilling. I longed for, and eventually returned to, the beauty of the Shenandoah Valley, Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River, my loving family, and overall quiet serenity of home.
Shortly after my return, I met Jason, a fantastic guy and now my supportive husband. A few years later, we were blessed with a sweet baby boy. My little family of three is the foundation of all my life ventures, including Hands with Heart!
When I’m not at the office, you will most likely find me with my husband, our son, two kitties, three pups, and happy flock of free-ranging chickens. As a family, we try to live as sustainably as possible and are currently in the process of building a little energy efficient home on our homestead in Front Royal.
Although life tends to stay busy running a business, building a home, running a household, and raising a spirited little boy, I do make the time to partake in some of my other passions and hobbies: sewing, running, cooking, attending local community events, hiking, kayaking, camping, and being surrounded by nature in general.
